Goes to show you.Bicyclist should have insurance if they want to ride on the road.

I’m sure that would have helped. He could just hold up his policy and the bus would disappear…Did you even THINK of expressing concern for the person hit?

I have often almost been run over on foot by an MBTA bus just like this. The bus drivers generally have no respect for other vehicles on the road nor pedestrians. They have incredibly large and powerful machines under their control. I can recall one particular event in Brighton where I was in the middle of a well-marked crosswalk and an MBTA bus was approaching at high speed. I started waving my hands in the air to get them to stop and I was nearly hit. The bus driver was furious for me being in the way.

What was left out of the article is that he was wearing headphones and most likely went thru a red light. Obviously, the song he was listening to and the sight of a nickel can on the side of the road made him forget about the big white & yellow object coming thru the green light. Don’t blame the bus driver.
