BOSTON (CBS) – The sold-out PAX East video game conference is underway at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. Many of the attendees dress up like the characters of their favorite games.
From the floor of the convention, Ethan Baird of MMO Champion described the scene for WBZ NewsRadio.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Anthony Silva reports
About 150 companies are exhibiting at PAX East, with two dozen of those companies from Massachusetts.
Attendees come from all over the world.
PAX, which stands for Penny Arcade Expo, was founded in Seattle in 2004 and expanded into Boston in 2010.
The Executive Director of the Convention Center says PAX East has signed a contract to keep the annual show in Boston through 2023. Organizers of the show want to grow attendance to 100,000, making PAX East the largest video gaming event in the world.
