Bruins Host 'Fan Appreciation Day' On Saturday

BOSTON (CBS) - With the regular season coming to a close on Saturday, the Boston Bruins will thank their fans in one of the best yearly traditions in town.

The Bruins will host "Fan Appreciation Day" during and after their game against the Sabres on Saturday, thanking the fans of the Black and Gold for all their support throughout the regular season.

Every fans in attendance will receiver a team poster, and there will be giveaways throughout the evening.

But the real fun comes after the game.

After the clock hits 00:00 for the regular season, the Bruins players will remain on the ice and throw t-shirts into the stands. Then 27 lucky fans, chosen throughout the game, will receive the "Shirt off their Backs" from a player on the team.

Each of the lucky Bruins fans will receive a sealed envelope containing the name of a player, and will meet them in an on-ice ceremony where they get to take home the game-worn autographed jersey of that player.

Only the Bruins can make a sweaty, freshly-used jersey sound extremely appealing.
