Woman Punched In Face, Robbed Near Wollaston MBTA Station

QUINCY (CBS) – Police in Quincy are investigating a purse-snatching that happened on Elm Avenue Wednesday night. A 42-year-old woman was walking home from the Wollaston MBTA station at 11:30pm when she was attacked.

The suspect punched the woman in the face and ran off with her purse. Police are now searching for two black males in their 20s.

The victim declined medical attention.

Two summers ago, Transit Police brought in a portable watchtower to the Wollaston station after similar attacks. Police say the suspects are again targeting women wearing earphones.

Police are checking surveillance video at MBTA stations to see if the suspects were caught on camera.
