Today was opening day for the Boston Red Sox, and the season started with a bump in the road as they lost 3-2 to the Tigers in Detroit.

After a two-run rally by the Sox in the top of the ninth, Mark Melancon gave up hits to two of the three batters he faced, putting Alfredo Aceves in a pretty tough spot.
