Red Line Service Partially Shut Down Due To Tunnel Fire
BOSTON (CBS) - Crews put out a fire in the Red Line tunnel between Park Street and Downtown Crossing on Wednesday.

Firefighters battled what was described as a small trash fire near some switching gear on the tracks. They were able to put the flames out before 9:30 a.m.
Shuttles replaced service between the JFK-UMass and Harvard Square stops on the Red Line for nearly an hour while crews put out the fire.
Red Line service in that stretch resumed around 10:15 a.m.
MBTA officials reported residual delays were possible through the rest of the day.
