62 Cambridge Coworkers To Split $250,000 Mega Millions Prize

BRAINTREE (CBS) - A group of 62 coworkers will share a $250,000 prize from last week's historic Mega Millions drawing.

Jeanette Miele and Denise McLaighlin, two of the employees from Belmont Medical Associates in Cambridge, claimed the prize on behalf of the group at lottery headquarters on Wednesday.

Each worker pitched in $2 to buy a total of 124 tickets from a store in Watertown. One of those tickets matched the first five numbers (2-4-23-38-46) and not the Mega Ball (23) to win $250,000 (or $4,032.25 each before taxes).

The group's win was one of five tickets sold in Massachusetts that won second prize.

On Monday, two winners came forward to claim their prizes, and on Tuesday, a group of 22 people also claimed their prize.

One final winning ticket, which was purchased in East Bridgewater, has yet to be claimed.
