ROWLEY (CBS) - A police officer and a driver were hurt in a crash in Rowley late Monday morning.
Officer Matthew Ziev was responding to an emergency call when his cruiser collided with an SUV on Route 133 around 11 a.m.
Rescuers needed the Jaws of Life to pull Ziev from the wreck.

He was rushed to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on a Med Flight rescue helicopter.
The driver of the SUV was walking around after the crash. She was taken to Anna Jaques Hospital.
Both Ziev and the driver of the SUV were released from the hospital later on Monday.
It’s still not clear what caused the crash.
Police said Ziev was heading east on Route 133 while the SUV was going west at the time of the accident.
Ziev is a 6-year-veteran of the Rowley Police Department.
