Would it have killed WBZ ad space to have included a photo of him?

Ditto that petem. Walt was a professional from a bygone era, when news reporters were hired for their ability and not a pretty face. RIP Walt !!

He was indeed a great guy who did a great job.

Of course if he was on ‘BZ more recently, he undoubtedly would have been fired and replaced with someone younger who would work for lower pay, like so many of his colleagues.

My sympathy goes out to the Sanders family. Walt was such a well known individual in the Boston media and it’s always sad to see those who you seem to have known for so long to suddenly pass away.

Godspeed Walt. You were one of the good guys. Today we are treated to horrible grammar, news crawls with comically bad spelling and”news readers” who have no clue how to deliver a story. Take note WBZ, I almost never watch your programs anymore. I’ll read here and newspapers online
