One Wounded After Shooting In Avon Walmart Parking Lot

AVON (CBS) - Police are investigating a shooting that took place in a Walmart parking lot in Avon on Tuesday.

Police responded just before 4pm Tuesday afternoon to reports of a shooting and later described it as an exchange of gunfire.

That resulted in a crime scene that spread throughout the parking lot. Evidence left behind included a cell phone, bullet casings and a pellet gun that was somehow involved.

There was a similar scene in nearby Brockton at the Good Samaritan Hospital where one of the suspects believed to have been shot at Walmart arrived with injuries.

That person got medical care, but was soon placed under arrest, along with someone else who was also in this car. They were arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm.

All this as local and state investigators scoured the area looking for more suspects.

Then, after 6 pm, Boston Police pulled over a car on Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan and arrested another person who might also be connected with the Walmart shooting. That person was arrested on motor vehicle charges.
