Jennifer Whitfield was wanted in connection with the shooting of a Manchester police officer.
MANCHESTER, NH (CBS) – Police have arrested a woman believed to be involved with the shooting of a Manchester, New Hampshire police officer.
Authorities arrested 35-year-old Jennifer Whitfield, who is believed to have driven Myles Webster to the crime scene Wednesday night.
Police had an arrest warrant out for Whitfield because she failed to return a rental car. Police believe Whitfield drove Webster to the scene in a Hyundai Sonata, which was rented.
Webster is being held on $1 million bail for the attempted murder of Officer Daniel Doherty. The 22-year-old man allegedly shot 15 rounds at Doherty, who was hit multiple times.
Doherty remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
