Woman Seriously Hurt In Hit-And-Run Accident In Tewksbury
TEWKSBURY (CBS) - The search is on for the driver involved in a hit-and-run accident in Tewksbury late Tuesday night.
A woman in her 20's was seriously injured.
She was struck by a vehicle as she walked along Whipple Road.
The driver took off from the scene and headed north toward Lowell, but police weren't able to get a good description of the vehicle.
The victim was taken to Saints Medical Center in Lowell. She is expected to survive, police said.
