BOSTON (CBS) — It’s Tebow Time in New York.
One day after introducing Peyton Manning as their quarterback, the Broncos traded Tim Tebow to the New York Jets, according to FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer.
The report says that the Jets sent Denver a fourth-round and sixth-round draft pick in exchange for Tebow and a seventh-round draft pick.
It’s unclear how exactly the Jets will plan to use Tebow, though he could compete for the starting quarterback job with Mark Sanchez.
Tebow led the Broncos to a last-minute victory over the Jets last season.
In his second NFL season last year, Tebow became a phenomenon in Denver, leading the team to seven wins in his first eight starts. The regular season ended with three straight losses, though, before Tebow and the Broncos beat the Steelers in overtime in a wild-card playoff game. The Broncos then lost in New England in the divisional round.
