BOSTON (CBS) — Last year, Mark Anderson was tied for the Patriots’ team lead in sacks with 10. Next year, he’ll be lining up with the goal of hitting Tom Brady.

The 28-year-old signed a four-year deal with the Buffalo Bills on Wednesday, according to the Boston Herald’s Ian Rapoport.

Adam Schefter reports that the deal is worth $27.5 million, with $8 million guaranteeed.

Anderson joins Mario Williams, Marcell Dareus and Kyle Williams on a defensive line that is suddenly one of the best in the NFL.

Last season, Anderson recorded 10 sacks for the Patriots, tied with Andre Carter for most on the team. It was his highest sack total since his rookie year in ’06, when he had 12 for the Bears. He also contributed with 2.5 sacks in three playoff games, including 1.5 sacks in the Super Bowl
