Heyman Joins Hardy & Zo: Does Bard Have What It Takes To Start?

On today's show MLB Insider Jon Heyman joins Hardy, Zo & Dan Shaugnessy to talk about Daniel Bard's transition to the starting rotation and why some scouts think he's better off in the bullpen.

"The two scouts I talked to saw him as a starter at North Carolina," Heyman said. "They saw him pitch, and he didn't strike them as a starter. They thought he should be a reliever."

Shaughnessy asked if he expected trouble for Bard due to an increased number of innings, but Heyman said that' snot the main concern.

"I think it's more a matter of his style, his repertoire, things like that, more than the innings concern," Heyman said.
