Lucic-Komisarek Renew Acquaintances

BOSTON (CBS) -  Mike Komisarek is in a different sweater, but when he takes on Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic in a tussle, the results seem to be the same.

The two dropped gloves in the first period of Boston's 8-0 drubbing of the Maple Leafs Monday night, rekindling the dislike the two share for each other.

Komisarek went after Lucic as the two went after the puck, tossing a shot at the Bruins forward as he looked to fire up his team, then trailing 4-0.

Instead, it just upset Lucic, who delivered blow after blow. He landed four uppercuts on the Toronto defenseman, reminiscent to the days when Komisarek was wearing a Montreal Canadiens sweater.

"It seems like so long ago," Lucic said of the Montreal fights. "He's a guy that is going to compete. He's just trying to show some emotion. In a time like that, you don't like to be on the end of things. Whatever happened there happened there and fortunately for me I came out on top."

And while there may be little love on the ice between the two, Lucic respects Komisarek for taking matters into his own hands, even if it meant feeling the brunt of Lucic's.

"He's the type of guy that is going to show he's not going to back down; sticking up for himself and, like I said, trying to show some emotion. You definitely have to respect that."

After what happened Monday night though, Komisarek might want to think again before challenging Lucic.
