BOSTON (CBS) – Massachusetts Senator John Kerry jokingly weighed in on the arrests of his congressional colleagues and actor George Clooney on Friday.
On his Twitter account, Kerry joked about Massachusetts Reps. Jim McGovern and John Olver getting into trouble.
I leave you three alone for 5 mins… MT @dbernstein McGovern & Olver reportedly arrested at Sudan embassy. Oh, also George Clooney. #mapoli

Earlier in the week, Kerry, the head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, held a hearing on the violence in Sudan.
Clooney, who recently returned from the war-ravaged Nuba Mountains there, testified in front of the committee about war crimes he observed, including indiscriminant bombings aimed at civilians.
He later met one on one with Kerry.
During the hearing, U.S. lawmakers also screened a short video filmed during Clooney’s trip.
Kerry provided a link to that video through his Twitter account earlier this week.
