High School Hoops Take Over Garden For State Tournament

BOSTON (CBS) – It's that time of the year for college basketball, but Monday belongs to the high schoolers in Massachusetts.

Monday kicks off a two-day High School takeover of the TD Garden, with the Eastern Mass State Basketball tournament taking over the famous parquet floor.

Cathedral and St. Mary's get everything started Monday afternoon, playing for the Division 4 title. That game will be followed by three semifinal games with a trip to Saturday's State Championships at the DCU Center in Worcester on the line.

Then on Tuesday, the girls will get their turn on the Garden floor.

Here are the Boys and Girls schedules for Monday and Tuesday:

Monday, March 12

Boys State Semifinals

2:30pm: Cathedral vs. St. Mary's - Division 4*

4:15pm: Danvers vs. Wareham – Division 3

6:00pm: Brighton vs. Stoughton – Division 2

7:45pm: Charlestown vs. Brockton – Division 1

Tuesday, March 13

Girls State Semifinals

2:30pm: Fenway vs. Greater New Bedford – Division 4*

4:15pm: Pentucket vs. Fairhaven – Division 3

6:00pm: Reading vs. Scituate – Division 2

7:45pm: Andover vs. Braintree

*Championship Game
