Several churches in Lawrence have been robbed recently.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Police say they have arrested a Woonsocket couple wanted for home burglaries in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
State police said Friday that 23-year-old Ian Catherwood and his girlfriend, 20-year-old Anne Marie Schafer, are facing multiple charges in Rhode Island related to drugs and receiving stolen goods. The couple was arrested Thursday morning after authorities received a tip from police in Mansfield, Mass.
Police say Catherwood is also charged with being a fugitive from Massachusetts in connection with a housebreak under investigation in Northborough.
Police say Catherwood’s bail was set at $100,000 with surety and Schafer’s bail was set at $50,000 with surety. The court says both were referred to the public defender’s office.
