MBTA Police Investigating Video Of Woman Attacking Man On Red Line

BOSTON (CBS) – Video of an apparent attack on the MBTA's Red Line that appeared on YouTube this week has not gone unnoticed by MBTA police. The explicit video turned up on YouTube Thursday.

It shows a woman standing on the train yelling and cursing at a man. The witness who posted the video says the man had "brushed up against her dog when going to sit down" and that the woman was unhappy about it.

Universal Hub posted the video on its site and reported that at least one concerned citizen saw the video and reached out to MBTA officials on Twitter.

T police responded that they were aware of the video and were investigating.

MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said Saturday the police spoke with the victim and that he does not want to press any charges. Police still want to identify the woman. They say it's likely she'll face a charge of Disorderly Conduct.

Anyone with information can contact MBTA Police at 617-222-1212.
