HOLLISTON (CBS) Normally when we think of the girl scouts you think of cookies – really good cookies.

Well, they do other good work too.

The Holliston Girl Scouts recently raised $2,500. And the money went to fill 100 survival backpacks, which will be handed out to children that are homeless.

They raised the money by hosting a fashion show. They wore outfits they designed from recycled materials.

Great idea and wonderful cause.

Great story! Kudos to these scouts for doing such a nice thing. No children should be homeless. They showed that we don’t always need government to do things for us, we can get together with others in our own communities and make money and support happen. Thanks for posting more articles like this one. This hard work of these scouts was very thoughtful and will make a very appreciated positive difference.
