BOSTON (CBS) – Two mothers proudly celebrated their daughters’ heroism Thursday in Boston. The daughters were given medals during a luncheon ceremony for their quick actions in separate emergency situations.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Bernice Corpuz reports
It was a frightening ride for Laura Goncalves and her 12-year-old daughter Tanisha Andrade back in December. The pregnant woman attempted to drive to the hospital, but her contractions were so severe she went into labor. Tanisha, who was on the passenger side, called 911 and helped deliver her baby sister.
Veronica Kpodo is also proud of her daughter Priscilla Tsagli.
The 9-year-old girl called for help after seeing her mom choking from a pill. Her daughter’s quick action saved her life.
