BOSTON (CBS) – Anne Banas of SmarterTravel.com in Charlestown says the Summer Olympics is making England one of the hottest destinations this year.
The country has spent seven years and millions of dollars sprucing up its capital for the games, but that’s not the only British celebration this year. There’s also a new football museum opening in Manchester and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

2012 may also bring good news for anyone who’s always wanted to go to Hawaii. Discount carrier Southwest Airlines hopes to expand it’s fleet to offer service to the islands at a competitive rate.
