DA: Teen Hit By Taxi On Storrow Drive Likely Jumped From Footbridge

BOSTON (CBS) - A teen was seriously injured after he possibly fell onto Storrow Drive before being hit by a taxi cab early Sunday morning.

Witnesses told police that after 1 a.m., the 18-year-old man from Sherborn appeared to have dropped from the Dartmouth Street footbridge overpass before he was hit by the car.

The Suffolk County district attorney's office said it appears the victim jumped from the bridge and that foul play is not suspected. Though, the circumstances surrounding the possible fall are still under investigation.

The victim is listed in critical condition at Tufts Medical Center.

The cab driver involved in the accident is a 43-year-old Revere man.
