Bertrand & Gasper: UMass Men's Basketball Coach Derek Kellogg

BOSTON (CBS) - UMass Men's Basketball Head Coach Derek Kellogg joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's Bertrand and Gasper to talk about his team as they prepare for their Final regular season game.

The Minutemen will play in a first-round game of the Atlantic 10 tournament on Tuesday. A first round win would secure a spot in the Quarterfinals in Atlantic City on Friday March 9th.

"The one good thing about my team this year is I'm able to go into every game knowing that we have an opportunity to win that game," said Kellogg. "I feel pretty confident no matter who we play in our conference."

Kellogg also talked about recruiting, the effect UMass Football moving to the FBS will have on his team, and about trying to schedule games in Boston. "One of my goals has always been to try and be the state school and try and play a game in Springfield, maybe Worcester, and Boston on a yearly basis".
