BOSTON (CBS) – The search for Franco Garcia, a missing Boston College student, was called off early Wednesday afternoon.
The 21 year-old vanished one week ago and was last seen leaving a bar in Cleveland Circle. His friends spent the day handing out flyers with Garcia’s picture on them.
The case also has the attention Bruce Springsteen, who posted a picture of the flyer on his Facebook page.
Springsteen has more than 2.1 million fans on the social media site. His son goes to Boston College.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Bernice Corpuz reports
Search teams won’t be back until Friday.
The Chestnut Hill Reservoir is the last place Garcia’s cell phone signal was traced to, although authorities admit that ping may not be completely accurate.
After three days of looking in and around the reservoir, Newton Police Captain Paul Anastasia says there have been no clues found on what might have happened to the 21-year-old.
