9-Year-Old Trading Up For Disney Vacation For Fallen Soldier's Family
KINGSTON (CBS) - Remember the guy who traded up a red paper clip and ended up with farmhouse?
Now, a local 9-year-old boy is trying his hand on that trade-up effort - but with a twist.
Brendan Haas is from Kingston and he's calling his project "a soldier for a solider."
He started by offering a toy soldier up for trade.
After just two trades up, he has a life-like NASCAR Turbostockers Speedway.
WBZ-TV's Jonathan Elias reports
Eventually, he wants to score a Disney trip. His plan is to give that trip to a family of a fallen solider.
Brendan says if he's able to get there, he will randomly choose a family from a raffle of those who have lost someone.
Brendan has his own Facebook page and he's hoping that maybe he'll get lucky and Disney will take notice.
If and when they do we'll let you know.
