FALMOUTH (CBS) – A student was arrested Friday morning for bringing an unloaded gun to school on the Cape.
Investigators say the 15-year-old freshman at Falmouth High School was carrying a .38 caliber pistol and bragging about having it.
The student did not have any ammunition with him at the time of the arrest.
Police say the student took the gun from a relative’s weapon storage area without permission.
That relative’s license to carry firearms has been suspended, pending the outcome of the investigation.

Police say the teen showed the weapon to at least three other students before he was arrested.
He was booked for carrying a firearm on school grounds and carrying a firearm without a license.
