BOSTON (CBS) – What’s your favorite book from childhood? Think about it.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Rod Fritz reports.
Well, a new list of the top 100 greatest books for kids may include your favorite book and a few surprises.
Check: The Full List
The list was compiled by Scholastic Parent and Child Magazine, and according to Editor in Chief Nick Friedman, he hopes the list generates controversy and conversation.
“If we can get you talking about books, in any way then it’s just a wonderful, great thing. That was like a driving force behind creating this list,” said Friedman.
“Make Way for the Ducklings” did not make the list, and neither did “Cat in the Hat.”
What was No. 1? “Charlotte’s Web” by E.B. White.
“Goodnight Moon” by Margaret Wise Brown was No. 2 on the list.
