Man Accused Of Driving Drunk, Hitting Same Woman Twice In Fall River
FALL RIVER (CBS) – Police officers say a man driving drunk on Saturday morning hit a woman not once, but twice near the intersection of South Main Street and Globe Street in Fall River.
Donna Adams is lucky to be alive and she knows it. Police say the driver, 32-year-old Antonio Martis, was drunk.
“He flipped me on the hood,” says Adams. “I seen my life flash by me, I thought I was gone.”

Justin DeSilva, who witnessed the accident, pulled out his camera phone and recorded as Martis fled the scene running over Donna Adams again.
“I said oh my God!” says Justin DeSilva. “I thought, what is going on? Someone just ran over a person, and didn’t even stop.”
Daryle Parent was driving his tow truck and saw it all and tried to block Martis’ escape.

“He drove right over her legs,” says Parent.
When Martis fled, he was being followed by several witnesses. He crashed a few blocks away, and was pulled from the car by the witnesses. They held him until police arrived.
“I wouldn’t do that to a dog, never mind a human being,” says Adams who suffered bruises and a cracked bone in her leg.
