Plan To Revitalize Part Of Jamaica Plain Gains Steam
BOSTON (CBS) - A massive plan to redevelop a portion of Centre Street in Jamaica Plain took its first major step forward.
MassHousing announced its decision to provide more than $31 million in loans to create the Jackson Square affordable housing development, with more than 100 apartments.
MassHousing Executive Director Tom Gleason says other funding sources are coming through as well.
The project is the first phase of a planned $250 million Jackson Square community with a total of 10 new buildings.
