Men Charged In Mattapan Massacre Head To Trial

BOSTON (AP) — Two men accused of killing four people — including a toddler — are heading to trial on murder charges.

Dwayne Moore and Edward Washington are both charged with first-degree murder in the 2010 shooting in the Mattapan section of Boston.

The men are charged in the fatal shootings of 21-year-old Eyanna Flonory and her 2-year-old son, Amani Smith; 21-year-old Simba Martin; and 22-year-old LeVaughn Washum-Garrison.

A fifth victim received serious injuries in the shooting and is now paralyzed.

Prosecutors say Moore shot the victims after Washington and Moore went to Martin's home to steal drugs and money.

Washington's cousin, who allegedly accompanied them to Martin's home, has agreed to testify against the other two men.

Jury selection is expected to begin Monday in Suffolk Superior Court.
