BOSTON (CBS) – In a sign that winter may not show up at all this year, the Red Sox equipment truck rolled out of Fenway on Saturday and headed to Fort Myers.
Truck Day, which has become a popular annual tradition in Boston, typically signals that winter’s end is at least nearing.
The dreary weather that accompanied 2012 Truck Day proved to be of just minimal deterrence for fans, as dozens still showed up outside the ballpark to celebrate.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Kim Tunnicliffe reports
The Sox equipment truck will embark on a 1,480-mile trip to JetBlue Park at Fenway South, the club’s new Spring Training home in Florida.
