NH Considers Fragrance Ban For Public State Workers

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire's House is voting on a bill that would prohibit state employees who work with the public from wearing fragrances or using scented products during business hours.

The Constitutional Review and Statutory Recodification Committee is recommending that the House kill the bill as a possible constitutional conflict between the rights of the individual employee and the health effects on an occasional customer with an allergy to scented products.

The House is scheduled to vote on the bill Wednesday.
