Woman Rescued By Son In NH Snowmobile Accident

LANCASTER, N.H. (AP) — A man rescued his mother from a snowmobile accident in northern New Hampshire after she lost control of the machine and landed in a stream.

New Hampshire Fish and Game officers say 76-year-old Jean Misulia of Old Bethpage, N.Y., lost control of the snowmobile Sunday afternoon in Pittsburg.

Her son, Gary, was able to get her out of the water and took her on his snowmobile about seven miles to an ambulance.

Misulia had a possible right wrist fracture and was in the beginning stages of hypothermia. She was treated at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook.
