1 Hurt In Southbridge Shooting
SOUTHBRIDGE (AP) — Police in Southbridge say they don't believe there is a danger to the public despite a weekend shooting in town.
A man was shot in the abdomen in a parking lot on Mechanic Street at about 2:45 p.m. on Sunday and taken to the hospital.
A spokesman for the Worcester district attorney's office says the 29-year-old victim's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. His name was not released.
Authorities do not believe the shooting was random and are looking for at least one suspect described as an 18- to 25-year-old man who fled on foot.
