Foxboro Firefighters Bet The Shirts Off Their Backs Against New York

FOXBORO (CBS) - Foxboro firefighter and paramedic Paul Farmer is looking forward to adding another t-shirt to his collection - one from Manhattan's Engine 24.

The two departments made a bet where the losers send their shirts off their backs to the winners.

If the Pats lose, his department has agreed to give the New York Fire Department 36 Foxboro FD t-shirts featuring a Pat The Patriot look-alike.

Farmer doubts that will be the case.

"If we happen to get the shirts from New York, I know there are a lot of dirty trucks out there that need washing. We can certainly use the rags," Farmer said.

Foxboro firefighters have had similar bets in past years against their counterparts in Baltimore, Charlotte, and Philadelphia.

So far, Farmer says only Philadelphia has not paid up.

Foxborough Fire and Rescue does sell the t-shirts pictured above and has information posted on Facebook.
