Celtics Rondo Out Thursday Night Against Magic

BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston Celtics will be without point guard Rajon Rondo for the fourth straight game when they take on the Magic in Orlando Thursday night.

Celtics head coach Doc Rivers said Rondo will sit out Thursday night's game as he recovers from a sore right wrist he injured last Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors.

Rivers said Avery Bradley will likely get the start in Rondo's place. Bradley had six points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals in Monday's win over the Magic at the TD Garden.

Guard Ray Allen is also out for Boston, as he is at home resting his sore left ankle, but Rivers hinted the Celtics sharpshooter could return for Friday's home game against the Pacers.

In Allen's place, Mickael Pietrus will get the start. Pietrus missed Monday's win with a shoulder injury, and is one of three injured Celtics expected to return Thursday night. Guard Keyon Dooling (right knee) and center Chris Wilcox (left calf) are also expected to return for Boston.

Center Jermaine O'Neal is doubtful Thursday night with a left knee injury, but could also return Friday night.
