Bone Marrow Transplant From 2-Year-Old To Little Sister Goes Smoothly
BOSTON (CBS) - The bone marrow transplant from two-year-old Gracie Murray to her 1-year-old sister Maddie has gone very smoothly.
The Murray family tells WBZ they are overwhelmed by the community outreach since our story on Maddie, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia last summer.
After five months at Children's Hospital, doctors had forced her blood cancer into remission, but it would return with a vengeance without a bone marrow transplant. Her older sister Gracie was found to be a perfect match to donate.

Little Maddie had to undergo two radiation treatments Friday alone before the transplant and was still feeling well enough to eat macaroni.
Donor Gracie handled things well, although the anesthetic made her a little sick.
Donations to help the Rockland family with medical costs have tripled and the fundraising event set for February at the Quincy Marriott has expanded to a second ballroom.
A Norwell company is donating both girls clothing for a year and another company gave $1000 and an iPad.
