BOSTON (CBS) – A Lawrence man says farewell to more than 90 of his little friends.
The MSPCA in Methuen has taken custody of dozens of hamsters that were living with the man in his apartment on Boehm Street. Officials say they were well cared for, but the man had run out of room. He began collecting hamsters five years ago.
The hamsters are being sent to shelters in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. The ones remaining at the Methuen shelter are available for adoption for a $10 fee.
