Young Basketball Player To Shoot 2,000 Free Throws For Cancer

HAMPTON, NH (CBS) - A young basketball player is planning to put his skills to the test and for a good cause.

Liam Viviano of Hampton Academy is planning on shooting 2,000 free throws over eight days.

He's asking for people to donate a penny a shot, which works out to $20.

He's doing this to raise money for people who are battling cancer and don't have the money for treatment.

Viviano knows first-hand the pain of cancer.

He lost his mother two years ago when she was only 45.

He says he is doing this for her.

Liam, good luck with those free throws.

Something tells me folks will donate a bit more than a penny a shot.
