Small Earthquake Shakes Franklin, NH

FRANKLIN, N.H. (AP) — A small earthquake was detected near Franklin, N.H. — not that many would have noticed.

Weston Observatory at Boston College says the 1.4-magnitude quake was recorded at 5:02 p.m. Thursday about 3 miles southwest of Franklin. It lasted about 2 seconds.

Such small quakes are usually not felt.
