Robber Threatens To Shoot Walgreens Clerk When Register Won't Open

MANCHESTER, NH (CBS) - Police are looking for a suspect in a frightening robbery at a Walgreens in Manchester, New Hampshire.

It happened Wednesday around 10 p.m. on South Main Street.

A man walked in, demanded money, and threatened to shoot the clerk when she was unable to open the cash register.

She called the manager to the front of the store over the public address system for assistance in opening the drawer.

The thief then threatened to shoot the clerk if she didn't hurry.

Once the register was opened, the man grabbed some cash and took off.

Police say he never actually showed a weapon.

The suspect is described as white, about 5'4" tall, and 150 pounds. He had green eyes and a scruffy beard.

He was wearing a brown, zipped, hooded sweatshirt with white and orange writing that possibly read "Abercrombie."

He also had on a dark knit hat with a bill and a brown scarf covering the lower part of his face and dark gloves.
