NH Boy Scout Supporting "Anybody But Obama" In November

MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) - One New Hampshire Boy Scout may not be able to vote, but he knows who he's supporting this November.

"I have to say, anybody but Obama," said Richard Senneville of Manchester, New Hampshire.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Joe Mathieu sat down with Richard, a seventh grader who was walking around the Radisson Hotel in his Boy Scout uniform, after the primary results rolled in Tuesday night.

Richard was at the hotel working on a school project on all of the primary candidates. He came up with the idea for the project after attending a Rick Santorum town hall event with his mom last Friday.

"It was a cool feeling out there talking to everybody, all the media and stuff like that," said Richard. "And I really liked it, so I asked my mom if we could do it again with all of the other candidates."

Politically, Richard said he has independent views, but tends to lean to the right.

Regardless of a person's views, though, Richard feels it's important to pay close attention to politics.

"I believe everybody should be interested in politics. It's an important thing, as I said. It's your right and duty as a citizen of the United States in order to vote and hold a place in your government, so you might as well exercise that right," said Richard.
