PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire police have released images of a man suspected of trying to kidnap and rob a woman in broad daylight in a parking lot in Portsmouth.
Police say the man pulled a handgun on a woman after she drove into Ocean State Job Lot parking lot at about 1:20 p.m. on Dec. 14.

The woman told detectives she offered the man money, but he refused and instead forced his way into the car. As he got in, the woman escaped and ran away.
Police say the man was last seen running into some nearby woods.
The suspect is described as a black man in his late teens or early 20s. The images released Monday show a person wearing baggy dark plants and a puffy jacket.
