Man & Woman From New Hampshire Found Shot To Death In Arizona

SEDONA, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona authorities have identified a New Hampshire couple found shot to death in their parked car near the scenic resort town of Sedona.

Officials say they are 63-year-old James Johnson of Jaffrey and 63-year-old Carol Raynsford of Nelson.

They were found in their red older-model Suburu sedan on Friday.

Yavapai County, Ariz., sheriff's officials say someone shot them with a .223-caliber rifle from outside the car, which was parked on a highway turnout used by hikers.

Deputies are looking for an older white Chevrolet or Dodge pickup with an older camper shell and red ribbons hanging from the rear-view mirror that may have been in the area.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to call the sheriff's office or the county's Silent Witness program. A $1,000 reward is being offered for any tips that lead to an arrest.
