TSA Finds Shotgun Shell In Man’s Carry-On At Logan Airport

BOSTON (CBS) – A person was temporarily detained at Logan Airport on Saturday after TSA officials found a shotgun shell in his carry-on bag.

Massport says the man was going through a security checkpoint for Southwest Airlines when the shell was discovered.

Massport spokesperson Matt Brelis says the man was licensed to carry a gun.

However, it is against the law to bring ammunition onto a passenger jet. State troopers, though, determined that the shell was empty and devoid of shot, gunpowder, or primer.

The shell was confiscated and the man was allowed to proceed onto his flight.

Really? This is news? Sounds more like propaganda for TSA.

So just collected the shell he forgot and go about your business. A shotgun shell isn’t particularly dangerous without the shotgun and certainly wouldn’t harm even the smallest airplane.

Bill, SPOT ON ! OOPS. It was in there from my last hunting trip and melded into the seam of the suitcase. I missed it.Sorry.
He was probably subjected to a strip search by TSA for the triggering device too.
What a worthless pile of government crap the TSA truly is.
