CAMBRIDGE (CBS) – Police in Cambridge have arrested a young man after two groping incidents near Inman Square.
A young woman who says she is the suspect’s sister, says he was arrested at home. She says that he had gone up to a couple women earlier in the night, but wouldn’t elaborate.
Cambridge Police described the suspect as a juvenile man. He was taken into custody from a home that is less than a mile from four separate gropings and exposures that occurred Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
WBZ-TV’s Jim Armstrong reports
Cambridge Police had been warning women in the area of Inman Square to be on guard since someone described as a white male, thought to be in his twenties, had been groping women or exposing himself to them.
All four incidents happened within blocks of each other, and all occurred around seven o’clock in the evening. Residents are relieved that there has been an arrest.
Police would not confirm if the man they arrested Thursday was connected to any of the incidents.
