Reports: Ryan Kalish To Miss Start Of Season

BOSTON (CBS) - Red Sox right fielder Ryan Kalish will miss Opening Day, and won't be ready to play until May or June, according to published reports.

Kalish told the Boston Globe he had shoulder surgery this past November to repair a torn labrum. That is in addition to the neck surgery he had back in September.

Ryan Sweeney, Darnell McDonald and Mike Aviles are the candidates to open the season in right field for the Red Sox.
