BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston Celtics could use captain Paul Pierce, and the forward has hinted he is close to a return from a heel injury.

Pierce tweeted “I’m close very very close very” on Thursday night, as the Celtics get set to play the Detroit Pistons Friday night in their home opener.

According to ESPN’s Chris Sheridan, the team has ruled Pierce a game-time decision Friday night as they look for their first win of the season.
